Break Up

One of the prizes for winning the Illinois State Fair folk music contest was a trip to Nashville to meet and record a song @ RCA Studios with Chet Atkins.  He was so real and down to earth, and gave us so much honest info about the music business. He showed us around and introduced us to some studio musicians and we got to experience the Nashville system in action. We made demos of a couple of song ideas, including this one – sort of a “Leader of the Pack” break up song – that we had fun messing with. Here’s the result, recovered from a well-worn acetate disk: a musical time capsule!
